On 25 October 2023 the grand opening of All Energy Australia, Australia's largest international energy exhibition, took place in Melbourne. During the exhibition, Sungrow and Hive Battery Developments Pty Ltd, supported by the well-known Australian clean energy fund company, Clean Energy Transfer Fund (CETF), officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Over the next three years, they will continue to provide a 3GWh PowerTitan large liquid-cooled system for Hive, an innovative energy storage project. The signing ceremony was attended by Rob Ashdown, Co-Founder and Managing Director of HBD, Jiamao Wu, Senior Vice President of Sungrow, among others.
Australia is at the forefront of global energy storage development, boasting a mature liberalized electricity market. Hive, as a locally-driven innovative independent energy storage project, exclusively incorporates the PowerTitan liquid-cooled energy storage system. Addressing the high barriers to grid access, Sungrow provides expert GPS grid connection support, significantly enhancing project grid integration quality. Moreover, the project is equipped with cutting-edge virtual power plant technology, enabling flexible energy scheduling and active participation in Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) and electricity spot trading, thereby increasing the share of green energy consumption.
“Sungrow's professional GPS grid connection model team and innovative PowerTitan liquid-cooled energy storage system have left a profound impression on us. We are confident that this strategic partnership will enhance mutual innovative collaboration in the field of energy storage and accelerate the future of local energy transformation.”
