Sungrow Inverters, 100% compliant with SA's Flexible Export Program

Adelaide, South Australia - Sungrow, a leading manufacturer of solar inverters, has achieved a significant milestone in product certification aligned with the Dynamic Export Limits (Flexible Exports) requirements in South Australia starting from July 2023. Some products have already complied with SA’s Flexible Export Program in Apr, 2023. Sungrow's other inverters will complete the necessary development and listing process to comply with SA’s regulations before 1st July, 2023. In the future, Sungrow's devices will natively support this function, without requiring additional controllers, aggregators or subscription fees.

Achieving compliance for Dynamic Export Limits (Flexible Exports) in South Australia is a significant accomplishment for any solar inverter manufacturer. The product development process requires a comprehensive system including IT, communication, inverter technologies and rigorous testing to ensure that the inverters can operate within strict technical guidelines, while also complying with complex regulatory requirements. Sungrow's achievement in complying with this program demonstrates the company's commitment to technical innovation and quality. As a leading manufacturer of solar inverters, Sungrow has established itself as a trusted brand within the industry, with a reputation for producing reliable and high-performing products. This latest milestone further cements Sungrow's leading position in the industry and highlights its dedication to providing cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of the renewable energy market.

The South Australian government's flexible export program is aimed at encouraging the uptake of rooftop solar, while also ensuring that the grid can handle the influx of energy during periods of high solar generation. From July 2023, the new Dynamic Export Limit (Flexible Exports) will be implemented in South Australia. All new installations (<30kW) must have CSIP (IEEE 2030.5) communication capability for SA Power Network to adjust systems’ export limit remotely.

Sungrow's inverters provide a reliable and efficient solution for households and businesses looking to generate their own renewable energy. The inverter features advanced technology that enables it to monitor and regulate the flow of energy to the grid, ensuring grid stability and preventing blackouts or brownouts.

Sungrow's solar inverter comes at a time when the demand for rooftop solar in South Australia is increasing rapidly. Australia has one of the highest levels of rooftop solar penetration in the world, with SA as one of the largest states in this sector.

"We are proud to be at the forefront of the transition to renewable energy in South Australia," commented Joe Zhou, Country Manager of Sungrow Australia. Our solar inverter is just an example of our commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions that benefit both consumers and the environment."
